Our work focuses on the neural correlates of the psychedelic experience and its therapeutic applications.
Our current project, the 7T LSD Study, maps the trajectory of the subjective experience under LSD in healthy, experienced volunteers. We use a multimodal approach, using neuroimaging (task & resting-state 7T fMRI and MEG), computational methods (e.g., dynamic causal modelling), behavioural and phenomenological sampling (e.g., microphenomenology & experience sampling), as well as wet lab methods (e.g., RNA sequencing, pluripotent stem cells, induced neuronal cultures) to study epigenetic and neuroimmunological effects of psychedelics.
